About our Business

Since our humble thrift shop beginnings, we’ve come a long way in the secondhand space. We’ve grown from a single shop to a global reuse champion. Every day at Savers, we proudly embrace our purpose to Champion Reuse. Creative, meaningful, dynamic, and fun–we’re a big little company that makes an impact in real ways, every day. How we do it, and the people that we do it with, matters a great deal.

About the Role

Reporting to the Director People Services Australia, you will be responsible for supporting District Managers to cultivate talented, capable and safe leaders moving into and through the organisation.

 A typical day might include:

  • Facilitating a peer-to-peer learning session for store leaders
  • Working with a District Manager on succession planning – we call it “building bench”
  • Coaching a store manager on how to identify talent within their store
  • Planning the capability offering for the next quarter
  • Reporting on LMS usage, and supporting a Store Manager to get back on track with their training
  • Proudly embracing our purpose to Champion Reuse
  • Sharing the Savers story
  • Supporting our safety culture

This is a hybrid role, and you may also be required to travel to stores from time to time.

About You

To ensure you can hit the ground running, you will have a mix of the following:

  • Qualifications in training, organisational development, coaching or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience in an organisational design, succession planning, performance consulting or facilitation in a retail or hospitality environment
  • Demonstrated facilitation, training, coaching skills both in groups and individually – a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be a bonus!
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training programs that build leadership capability
  • People first – you are a people person who builds relationships quickly
  • Customer focused – we make service count, so you will need to be passionate about providing timely and expert advice to your client group
  • Do the right thing – you are passionate about standing up for what’s right and doing what you say you will
  • Eager to learn – you are always looking to find a better way, adapt and improve
  • Impact driven – you want to make an impact on your team and your community
